My first Original Art Drop
and how i prepare it
I’m so excited
(Thanks to the Pointer Sisters, I can never say that again without the melody swirling around in my head.)
As I mentioned in the last Art & Stuff Letter, I’d like to gradually transition to traditional drawing medium. Currently, I’m considering a combination of gouache and ink. Since working with an analog medium can quickly lead to a lack of space, I plan to sell most of the original drawings.
I’ll be offering the original artwork as well as art prints/postcards/stickers of my most popular drawings – whatever format best suits the artwork.
To get used to the idea, I decided to sell various Inktober artwork and some of my favorite character drawings through my online shop starting March 4th.
As always, new business models like this bring new challenges. I spent hours searching for and ordering the perfect packaging materials, watching countless YouTube videos, and digging through the depths of Reddit for tips and tricks.
Back from that rabbit hole, I feel as ready as you can get to sell your own drawings for the first time.
Prices will be around €100 per original. This will vary depending on the complexity of the drawing and the paper quality. I will also be offering art prints on Inprnt, which will be even cheaper.
There should be something for everyone.
Shortly before the launch, I’ll send out another email with precise specifications and details about the drawings.
I’m incredibly excited and eager to get started. It’s definitely a big and important step for my business.
Because I firmly believe that in the age of AI, something human-made, with its own unique character, something tangible and exalted, gains more value. It connects the buyer with the artist, it creates stories that are meant to be told, and ultimately, it contains something that fundamentally distinguishes us living beings from AI: emotions.
I would be happy to share part of my story with you.
Now let’s go to the self Advertisement, behind the scenes & something cool!
What I’m working on
Drawing Quest Print@Home-Files
With our first paying patrons, the first Print@Home files are now available on Patreon. If you’d like to print the quests at home and keep them in your sketchbook, and complete one whenever you have 5 minutes to spare, you can now do so. For a monthly contribution of €5, you’ll receive a new file quarterly containing the quests from the past three months. Currently, you also have access to the entire archive. So, it’s possible to sign up for a membership, download everything, and then cancel.
Let me know what you think about that.

Because I don’t like paywalls, I try to avoid building them if possible. But, I have a gold-eating pig as a pet, and it needs a few coins now and then. So if you happen to have some spare cash, this hungry pig would be thrilled.
